Hi, Jolly Green Gal,
A nice site and an interesting post.
Have you thought about the energy savings you could make if you set the thermostat a couple of degrees higher than normal and compensate with a small local fan system?
I’m not talking necesarily about something as power hungry as a desk fan - just a local breeze.
If you get a moment, take a look at my site http://www.sleepbreeze.co.uk The system I’m developing uses about 4 watts compared with a desk fan which can be up around 60 - 100 watts.
The difference in electricity costs would certainly buy a few glasses of wine. Combine that with adjusting the thermostat a couple of degrees and you’re talking big bucks each month, and maybe doing something for the planet, too.
Keep up the work on this site - it looks great.
All the best,
Andy at SleepBreeze Ltd.

Hi, well it took us a while to get our environmentally friendly personal cooler into production. But we did it! Some re-design took about 80% of the plastic out of it. This saved weight on posting, resources making it. And it is still only 4 watts to get cool at night. Compare that to a 60 watt desk fan.
Ok, it’s simple. But nevertheless it’s effective.
Look forward to welcoming visitors to the sleepbreeze.co.uk webiste.
